The McComb Public Library is continuing to take calls at 601-684-2661 x:0 or emails at for curbside checkouts, printing, copying, faxing, & laminating during the following hours:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., until further notice.

*You may pull into the drive-thru for curbside service.

Please do not exit your vehicle for pickup until items are placed outside the library door.*

Flash drives and ear buds may also be purchased at cost. Please contact for current pricing.

The study room and Genealogy room in Walthall County are available for reservation for up to two patrons per room. Contact Anita at Walthall County for reservations.

We will gradually be opening the libraries to the public on a very limited basis, for the time being.

All branch libraries in the system are open for computer use by appointment. Here is the computer use appointment time information for the headquarters and each of the branches:

*Alpha Center is closed for remodeling

*Crosby – Monday – Thursday – 1:30-4:00

*Gloster – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday – 11:00-4:00

*Liberty - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday – 11:30-4:30

*Magnolia – Monday – Friday – 12:00-4:00

*McComb – Monday – Thursday – 9:00-4:00 and Friday 9:30-3:30 (curbside only)

*Osyka – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 3:00-4:00

*Progress – Monday – Thursday – 1:00-4:00

*Walthall County – Monday – Thursday – 9:30-3:30 and Friday 10:30-3:30

Service updates will be made regularly here; on our Facebook page--Pike-Amite-Walthall Library System; and as much as possible in the Enterprise-Journal, other local newspapers and radio stations. Branch updates and information may also be found under the “PAWLS Branches” tab.

Requirements for Entering the Libraries:

--Temperature taken by one of our administrative staff – Over 100.4 no entry

   (you may have your temp retaken up to twice)

--The following questions will be asked: Have you been out of the USA in the last 30 days? Are you having any symptoms of Covid-19

--Masks and gloves worn always while inside (masks and gloves available free of charge)

--Social distancing – maintain 6 feet between patrons

--Following all set time limit requirements

*Anyone failing to meet these requirements may still use curb service.*


Requirements for Computer Use:

--Make appointment on given day/time

--Be punctual. Computers are for one-hour use. If you are late those minutes are taken from your hour limit.

--If you are unfamiliar with the computer and need some help, you may bring one person to help while you

  are on the computer.

--You will only be permitted to use the computer or the restroom during your hour limit.

--If you have children, only one is permitted to accompany you and he/she must always stay with you. If 

  you have a child under five and a baby in a carrier or stroller, both may come with you. A child five or over

  may use the children’s AWE computer while in the library with you.

These requirements are in place for the safety of our patrons and our staff and administration. Please be kind and follow them until we may fully open to the public.
